May 5, 2025
FOX Business correspondent Lauren Simonetti visits Lincoln Tech in Mahwah, New Jersey, for this segment of The Claman Countdown. Lauren discusses how the United States government predicts that demand for skilled trades will skyrocket in the next 8 years. In particular, she identifies the demand for 1.09 Million mechanics, 802K electricians, 458K welders and 425K HVAC technicians, based on figures obtained from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. She points out that many graduates have starting salaries of $25, and are practically fresh out of high school. Campus President Michael Russo explains that the trades that were once “plans B, C, D” are now often considered “Plan A” for many people.
